The teams went into the second period tied at 0, with both teams getting a couple good chances in the first but neither managing to convert. UNH scored first in the second period, taking advantage of a BC turnover, but BC really dominated in scoring chances and late in the period Gabe Perreault scored a shorthanded goal to tie things up at 1.
