Defensive end Mayes expects to join Bulls in January

Sarasota Booker defensive end Eric Mayes, one of two USF signees who did not report for the start of classes last week, said Monday that he was held up by an academic issue but expects to join the Bulls in January after posting a qualifying entrance exam score.
