Ball State wins MAC opener by beating Central Michigan 31-17 on road

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Ball State claimed its second victory of the season against an unlikely opponent Saturday. The Cardinals defeated Central Michigan 31-17, winning for only the second time in the past seven games against the Chippewas.
