Final Score: Boston College 66, Pitt 57 Despite getting everything it could handle from the Pittsburgh Panthers, the Boston College Eagles were able to survive an upset bid and defend their home floor in ACC play. Despite 15 turnovers and Ky Bowman not scoring for the first eight minutes of the second half, the Eagles hit enough shots and got enough stops to come away with its third ACC win. Playing at 5pm doesn’t make Tuesday any less important for the Eagles It’s Beanpot Tuesday! Yay! But Boston College isn’t playing for the title! Boo! Harvard and Boston University both pulled upsets in the Beanpot semifinals, sending Northeastern and Boston College to the consolation game at 5pm. As disappointing as that is for both BC and NU, both games on Tuesday have huge Pairwise implications for the three ranked teams involved — BC and BU in particular.

Boston College Men’s Hockey Falls 4-2 In The Beanpot Championship

BC’s opportunity for a trophy left North Station on the E Line The 2018-2019 Boston College Men’s Hockey season has been a slog, but the Eagles had an opportunity to win a trophy Monday night in the Beanpot Championship. But despite a strong effort through most of the game, the Eagles couldn’t find goals when they needed to, and Northeastern tallied goals at crucial moments to put the game out of reach. In the end, it was a 4-2 loss at the TD Garden, giving Northeastern their second Beanpot in as many years and putting making it look that much more likely that the 2018-2019 season will end without any men’s hockey hardware on the Heights.

Boston College Softball Weekend Recap

Boston College softball got its season started this past weekend, at the Texas Classic in Austin, where the Eagles faced off with the University of Texas twice, Boise State, and Northwestern State. Unfortunately, BC fell in all four matchups to begin the season 0-4 with a run differential of -28. Freshman Camryn Dolby got the ball in game one, recording her first career strikeout in her first collegiate inning, but gave up seven runs over 3.2 innings of work en route to the game one loss.

Kenzie Kent scored 5 goals in the win The top ranked Boston College women’s lacrosse team opened the season with a 20-6 victory over Boston University today, thanks to a team effort led by Kenzie Kent and Cara Urbank. Kenzie Kent opened the scoring at 29:26 in the first, and BC didn’t let up for the rest of the game. The Eagles entered the second period with an 11-4 lead, and ended up with a 20-6 victory.
