Photo by Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images Some good news in a sea of bad baseball news: the New York Metropolitans have signed former Boston College outfielder Joe Suozzi as an undrafted free agent. Typically a 40 round marathon, the Major League Baseball Draft was shortened to just 5 rounds due to the suspended (hopefully not cancelled—shout out to the greediest ownership in sports) season. Suozzi made the most of his COVID-abbreviated senior season, knocking in 16 runs while batting .414 and slugging .638 over 15 games.
